Attitude of Gratitude!

No matter what happened in the days past,
As long as you are alive to see this day,be thankful!
Be thankful for the difficult times,
during those times you grow;
Be thankful for each new challenge,
In this,your strength and character are built;
Be thankful for both the good and bad,
In this time,you find a reason to make a change;
Be thankful when your shoulders sag from tiredness, and your chest heave with weariness,
It means you've made a difference!
Be thankful for the little you've learnt today,
For it is part of the bigger you tomorrow;
Be thankful even when you've no reason at all to be thankful,
For bringing gratitude to your experiences in life turns even the most negative situations
into positive outcomes!
I am thankful for each of you for reading, commenting and sharing the journey.
I wish you a happy 2014!

WORD!!!!!!!!

Get a life before you become a wife,
for that is the only way you can fit into the definition of a successful married woman!
A successful married woman is a woman who is able to balance her career with her marriage,
and capable of setting boundaries between these two!
Being married does not make you an achiever,it simply means you have yet another special
privilege in life, as a grown up to commit to something that is part of you.
You do not have to struggle to get it,it will come naturally to you!
On the other hand, getting a life or making something meaningful out of life(career) can be addressed as an achievement, for you have put a lot of positive energy into life to be where you want to be!

                                                                                                                                        GOT INSPIRED BY BEYONCE!

The "C" lesson

I bought a smart device worth a thousand dollars a year ago and now it's valued for six hundred dollars.
I bought a jacket worth a hundred dollars and in just a few months, its price went down as twenty five dollars.
Material things always have a value, and a tendency to fade away when new innovations come into life.
Stop hanging onto material things for no matter how much you cherish them, they will one day loose their value, yea, even the most precious and expensive as gold will not soothe your aching heart when you're down!
Cherish your respect as a man!
Cherish your virtue as a woman!
Cherish your love for family!
Cherish that friend who has always been there for you!
Cherish every morning you wake up to for its glow!
Cherish that special one who makes you smile!
Cherish your beliefs!
Cherish the fear of God for it's the beginning of wisdom!
For what shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?
                                                                                            Я любою тысяч всякий💋

Apology!

Apology tendered, accepted or not?the most important thing is that there was an apology!Either way,one must leave feeling relieved or even more agitated, but you know what, you don't have to feel bad after an apology, because if it doesn't decrease your problem by 100% it will,by 50%.
I have learnt to apologise even when I don't feel like because it saves time and relieves me of unnecessary argument as well as awkward positions.
Hah,I don't have to explain myself,what a relief!👌😝😜

THE "L" LESSONS!!!!!!

Life is too short,
grudges are a waste of perfect happiness!
Laugh when you can,
apologize when you should,
and let go of what you can't change!
What happens to you in LIFE is as a result
of the choices you've made , so don't
blame God!
Love deeply and forgive easily,
smile when you are sad and hope for a better moment with new
energy!
Love what you've got and make it your own,
remember what you've always had!
Learn your lessons and never forget them
no matter what , never regret, for every stage of your life was meant to happen
to teach YOU a good or bad lesson!!!!!!

Putting The Toilet Lid Down

Ken is very good about putting the toilet seat down.  He has been ever since we got married.  I am very grateful for that!  However, we have two cats who like to drink out of our toilet.  I don't want them drinking out of it because I don't think it is sanitary for them or for us to sit where the cats have been standing.

I decided the way to stop them was to keep the toilet lid down.  I have asked Ken several times to do it giving him my reasons why.  He remembers once in awhile but not often.  I walked past the bathroom yesterday and the lid was up.

I thought, "I could either be upset with him, scold him, and remind him once more or I can forget about it and just close it myself."  I decided to do the latter.  I spent way too many years being upset with him because he wasn't doing things the way I wanted him to do them.  It accomplished nothing good, just a bad marriage.

All of our husbands do things that can irritate us if we let them.  Women write me often about their husbands not helping with the children or housework, etc.  We all have a choice to make on how we are going to respond.  We can tell them our desires one time, maybe a few more, but then let it go.

Being angry and upset are Satan's tools to drive a wedge in the relationship.  Don't let him succeed.  God wants us to pursue peace even when things aren't going our way and our husbands are not "obeying" us.

Life is so much sweeter when you don't let your emotions control you but you decide to do what is right instead.  Keeping peace in your marriage is worth the sacrifice of not getting your way.  Accept your husband just the way he is with all of his faults and bad habits and you will find life to be much more peaceful and you will be much easier to live with for your whole family.  So next time you see the toilet lid up, his towel on the floor, or his dirty dishes in the sink, be a servant and put down the lid, pick up his towel, and clean his dirty dishes.  Peace is a beautiful thing.
Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy;
without holiness no one will see the Lord.

Time heals all wounds!

Love takes time to heal when you're hurting so bad.I know most of you are already thinking,"oh!she's got her heart broken by a guy!'Well,I am sorry to disappoint you.I am actually talking about losing
a loved one to the cold hands of death!
I watched my friend, who recently lost her parents, cry her heart out and I began to imagine in my head, the pain she felt inside, unexplainable,I presumed! When I got home,I wept uncontrollably for her sake, then came the flashbacks!
When I was thirteen,i lost my dear grandmother.I felt so terrible inside that I became angry at the world, because I didn't even get enough time to spend with her.She held a special place in my heart as she was the reason I am walking perfectly today.I felt a deep hole in my heart for a great deal of time, with hurt and pain I couldn't explain. Then gradually,I stopped being angry and the pain also stopped with time.
I know it doesn't measure up to the pain my friend,or you are feeling right now, from losing a parent or both,a wife,a husband,a best friend,a child or anyone you held so close to your heart. If there is any consolation, find one in the fact that no matter how hard it is,time heals all wounds.Do not lose yourself!

THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF RED WINE(extracted from how life works)

Can wine really improve our health and increase longevity? Scientists are beginning to say "Yes!" Supposing that the theory is true -- which wines give us the most bang for the buck?
Researchers have found that red wines rich in flavonoids are best for our health. Flavonoids are best known for their antioxidant qualities and help the body resist such maladies as allergens, viruses and carcinogens.
Red wines also contain anxioxidants, which help the body resist cancer and cardiovascular disease. Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Syrah and Pinot Noir contain the highest concentrations of antioxidants and flavonoids.
Other red wines such as Merlots and red zinfandels contain fewer flavonoids, but more than most white wines. So, the best bet for drinking wine for our health is to stick to the dryer red wines.  Just because wine contains components that are central to good health doesn't give us a free rein to get plastered every night. Don't overdo it -- but adding a glass of wine to your daily diet can definitely make a difference to our health.
Paracelsus, the noted 16th-century Swiss physician wrote, "Wine is a food, a medicine and a poison - it's just a question of dose." As with almost any food or drink, wine consumed in large doses can be a detriment to our health.
Most health officials agree that one or two four-ounce glasses of wine per day can be beneficial to men, while women should limit their consumption to one four ounce serving per day.
Cardiovascular expert, Professor Roger Corder, has spent years studying the evidence of health benefits from red wine. In his new book, "The Wine Diet," he says he is convinced that most of us should include red wine in our every day lifestyle.
Corder discovered what he eventually labeled the "French Paradox." Specifically, he wondered why the French have a lower rate of heart disease despite the fact that their diet was extremely rich in fats. He concentrated his research on the southwest portion of France, where life expectancy seemed to be highest.
Professor Corder discovered that the region produces very tannic local wines, which contain the highest procyanidin (antioxidant) content of any wines, worldwide. This led him to further research on the amazing medical benefits of red wine.
While wine may not be man's ultimate elixir or fountain of youth, it certainly behooves us to consider adding a glass of wine or two to our daily diet - and raise a "toast" to our continued good health.

Letting go or not!

Letting go or not depends on how we feel with or without whomever or whatever it is we are holding on to or about to let go.
The moment we let go,something new always happens. We usually feel different, either regretful or relieved.
Are you willing to let go or you still want to hold onto?
Do you want to let go of your worries and let God have his way?
Do you want to hold onto love or let it slide?
Holding onto our past or letting go of it for our future to become our presence, and our presence past?
The truth still lies within us ,the way we feel, content or heavy-laden ,is the answer.
Everyday is a day to start all over, why wait for tomorrow?

Learning to ask questions, seeking opinions of others and never making hasty decisions!

1.A banker had been working in a bank for more than 10 years. On this fateful year,he was given a promotion,a raise twice his former annual income and other benefits.A week after his promotion,he got a call from the bank's headquarters requesting him to tender a letter of resignation due to circumstances unexplained to him, and the caller went on to tell him of the pay off the bank will give to him following his resignation. He asked why the bank needed him to resign when the organization can decide to give him an early retirement ,if his services are no longer needed ,but he was not given a convincing nor intelligent reply. There and then, did he garner something foul was going on.
2.An auxiliary driver working for the same bank, employed by the above mentioned banker, happened to have a similar experience. After rendering his services for a reasonable number of years ,was called alongside his fellow colleagues, also drivers in the same organization by one of the managers, telling them about some financial struggles the bank is having. He further urged them to resign and the bank would compensate them with fat sum of money.
Without even thinking for a second, without finding out what others were  going to do,nor even asking the man who got the job for him,he resigned immediately because he heard something about a pay off.
Now,the stories have similar endings.Just wait!
3.A young graduate from the university happened to serve in a bank as a corper. At the end of his service, the bank decided to retain a few of the corpers as permanent staff members. There was twenty of them in number and the organization needed only ten of them.As such, how to pick ten out of twenty ,the corpers were told about the interest of the bank in them but their salaries would be a sum of thirty thousand Naira monthly which was low for a graduate. They were further told as I quote,"If you donot like the offer, you can take a walk."The young graduate who felt the sum mentioned above was an insult to his degree and person opted immediately to leave without even seeking other corpers'opinions who were also in the same shoes as he was or even asking his father who has had so much experience with the working system of a bank.

       OUTCOME;
For the first example, the bank had no choice but to issue him a letter of retirement alongside a check of millions of Naira currency. He left the bank a happy man although it was premature and he was greatly disappointed in the bank system, because of the corruption that set in.
The second example;the man who resigned with his signature left the bank with nothing. When he asked for the money promised to him,the bank denied ever sending anyone to pass on such news, the organization even emphasized on his self resignation and asking him to pay the bank as he was told he owed the bank some money owing to his actions.Meanwhile, his colleagues who did not resign are still working in the bank up till date without any problems.
The third case,it turned out many walked away from the offer, including the young man.For those few that remained, they were sent on a training course of three months. On returning, were given a permanent and befitting spots in the bank with salaries fives times the amount earlier stipulated.

So,I have been so inconsistent on posting what new lessons I have learnt these few days!
I have allowed other things take my attention off doing what I love,
That is an error iI am publicly correcting, for whilst I was being distracted, some one's life out there would have been affected positively.
Now,that is a lesson I have learnt, never to let anything get in the way of impacting on others!

THE BEAUTY OF GRADUATING!!!!!!!!!!

Graduation brings joy, relief and a sense of achievement among folks! It is a time when money is spent without a specific figure!I remember my graduation from secondary school,i felt good but anxious.Anxiety was there because i was graduating from that phase of my life into another. It gave me chills because i did not know what was out there waiting for me.I was still very young and inexperienced.
Now,i am older with a reasonable level of experience. For certain,my next graduation which is coming up soon will have a different effect on me!Whilst i was naive and gullible last graduation,i will be graduating with full awareness of and readiness for what is out there waiting for me,striking against all odds but not falling!
Summer is the season most graduation ceremonies take place,so,i am aware of the fact that many of us are graduating this summer from different levels of our lives. My wish for you is that you graduate triumphantly from this level of your life into the next level where you will possess all your possessions without deprivation!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

  • When you look in the mirror, sometimes you may think you don't look good. (Although everyone does.) Focus on the most beautiful part of your face. Either you have a cute nose, cute eyes, cute mouth, nice healthy skin, white teeth, or etc. ( Remember you are still beautiful no matter what.)
  • Wear well-fitting, well-made clothes. Clothes that are too small or big and that you have to tug at don't make anyone feel good!
  • Just because the opposite sex doesn't seem to pay attention to you, doesn't mean that you are not beautiful.
  • When you look in the mirror, smile and stand up straighter.
  • Be encouraging and helpful. Don't be mean or rude. Know that you are beautiful because God loves you and treasures you so so much!
  • Face the crowd, stand out, make noise, speak in public speakings, all eyes will be on you. You'll never know what they're thinking; one just might be whispering to their neighbor and saying "What a beautiful, bold individual."
  • Surround yourself with people who make you feel good.
  • Remind yourself every day that you are important.
  • Never compare yourself to others.
  • Think of yourself as the winner at a beauty pageant

CHECKING IT OUT!

When more than two people comment on the same thing about you, even if you do not believe it because of the contents of your mind on that note, just check it out,you may find something rewarding about the things said!
They said i do not smile, although within me,I DO NOT have anything to frown about, probably it is just my face! well,i am checking it out now!!!!!!!!
Check out that thing about you that has been commented on repeatedly! All the best!
oh by the way, check out the lyrics of this song!nobody has a perfect picture!

CURBED FROM OLD SCHOOL,NEW BODY!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,WELL,TOO MUCH OF EVERYTHING IS A DISEASE!

5 Steps To Looking 10 Years Younger

By Steve & Becky Holman

Steve & Becky HolmanDid you know that once you hit 40 years of age, whether you're a man or a women, your body starts aging FASTER than normal? Studies have shown that without the proper nutrients and exercise, your body will age about 6 months EXTRA for every year that passes. Think about that! If you are 40, that means by the time you hit 44 you will LOOK and FEEL 48. And by the time you reach 60, you will LOOK and FEEL 70 YEARS OLD! We see this every day... just look around you.
Did you know that 90% of people over the age of 35 lose enough muscle every year to burn off an additional 4 pounds of body fat? That means you not only lose the only thing on your body that creates shape, tone, and strength—you also gain more fat every year, even if your calories stay the same.
Did you know that all of this is reversible at any age? That there are specific ways to move, eat, and think that tell your brain to STOP this rapid aging process... and even SLOW IT DOWN to the point where you're aging less than a year for every year? That means you can look younger at 40 than you do at 35... or if you're like Becky and I, younger at 50+ than we did at 40!
This is not fantasy talk. This does not require a boatload of anti-aging drugs, supplements, or gimmicks. And, this works for anyone, male or female, and works at any age. 35, 45, 55, 65, 75... you name it. The biology is exactly the same.
My years as editor-in-chief at Iron Man Magazine have allowed me to peer into the secret routines of the anti-aging experts. Over the years, both Becky and I have picked up SO many tips, tricks, and strategies that have allowed us to literally reverse the aging process, at least from a cellular level. That means our body's look, feel, and MOVE younger than our chronological age.
We've taught this System to countless men and women over the years, and it always begins with these 5 key principles you must apply in order to STOP the rapid onset of aging that's going on right now, reverse it, and begin "aging backwards" by restoring your body's natural youth hormones.
That said, we have to warn you: What you are about to hear may go against all the conventional diet and exercise advice you've been hearing. That's because the world has, to be utterly frank, gone soft! "Core training", hot yoga, spin classes, tai chí all of these are just fine, but they won't slow your aging, and they certainly will never shape your muscles or burn off stubborn body fat. No way!

These 5 steps reveal the things you absolutely MUST AVOID if you want to slow the aging process, reclaim your health, and achieve your ideal body.

What you need is a splash of cold water, a touch of Old School, and the honest truth. Sound good? Let's dive in!

Step 1: Forget Low-Fat Diets

Forget Low Fat!Low fat everything has been the craze now for decades and look around. What has that wonderful bit of advice done for the bodies you see? We're fatter, sicker, and more addicted to sugar and carbs than any other time in history. And, we're passing these habits to our kids.
Fats are not to be feared – they're to be embraced. They do not make you fat; rather, they help your body regenerate your power hormones. Testosterone, the 'strength' hormone, for example, is the direct result ofcholesterol and dietary fat intake. That's right: "Cholesterol" isn't a dirty word! Your body needs dietary fat and cholesterol in order to produce ANY AND ALL vital hormones.
People on low fat diets look drawn, gaunt, and weak. They are often sick, sometimes to the point of literally breaking down. And, they can never just enjoy eating out. Every meal and every gram must be accounted for. Do you really think this will make you younger? Of course not... it will worry you to death if it doesn't kill you first!
=========

Step 2: Stop Running in Circles

Stop Spinning Your Wheels!Gym classes can be fun, if you like sitting in one place and torturing yourself. But have you noticed how little people change their bodies in these classes? Sure, it's good "cardio", but cardiovascular conditioning can be gained with far less time and effort.
Treadmills, and any form of endurance training (especially running) does very little to help the age reversal process. Many times, these long-duration exercise bouts accelerate the aging process by increasing free radicals. These free radicals are scavengers that prey on your body's essential nutrients and tissues.
There's a smart way to exercise... we'll cover that in a minute. And, what's wonderful is that it takes you about ¼ the time of traditional workouts. We'll cover more details on the next page. =========

Step 3: Stop Blaming Everything On How Old You Are

Stop Spinning Your Wheels! The guys to the left are not fat because they are old—they're fat becausethey eat, think, and move like a fat, old, dying person! Becky and I are both in our 50s—older than the guys in this photo—and I still sport a nice six-pack, and Becky transformed her body from the typical "middle age mom" to a slim, toned, and super-sexy woman who looks 10 years younger. (See the next page for photos!)
Listen: Your body doesn't own a clock. Studies have shown that men and women in their 90s were able to gain muscle tone in just a matter of weeks of simple weight training. I've personally seen men and women transform their physiques at literally all ages—25 to 95!
If you're around those naysayers who are constantly talking about growing old, all their aches and pains, and how life is just down hill after 40—LEAVE! Surround yourself with positive thinkers who absolutely crave a challenge. A challenge is what keeps you YOUNG, and the best challenge there is happens to be taking control of your health and body.
We'll show you HOW we do that on the next page.
=========

Step 4: Avoid Chronic Dehydration

Drink Your Water!Water isn't just "good for you" — water burns fat. Water suppresses hunger. Water renews your skin. Just drinking 12 ounces of pure water every day can take a few years off your face in a matter of weeks. You'll also drop fat, have more energy, and save your kidneys and liver from chronic overwork.
When your kidneys are taxed from too little water, your liver has to take over. Now, get this: Your liver is your number one fat-burning organ. Do you REALLY want it processing liquids and toxins rather than BURNING FAT? No way, right? Well, grab a glass of water, and watch the mirror. Within a few weeks, the change to your face and body will be noticeable.
=========

Step 5: Work Out LESS (Yes, Less)

Work Out LESSIf you don't work out at all, you're going to lose muscle tissue every year. That means you'll get fatter and flabbier each and every year with less shape and more sag. Is this what you desire? No way, right?
Well, the answer is old school resistance training. Here's the secret: hardly anyone is doing it right!
Becky and I have seen literally thousand of pro fitness athletes train over the years. The ones who looked the best — and that means looked the youngest, most toned, and had the least amount of unwanted fat — were the ones who left the gym while others were still warming up!
Over the past decade, Becky and I have developed a men and women's workout system that we call F4X Training System. This is a revolutionary way of combining four specific exercises done in literally a matter of minutes. That's ALL YOU NEED... And don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
That's right: We do not do endless cardio sessions (the F4X Training System is a great cardiovascular workout) and we do not spend an hour a day in the gym. We have a life, thank you. We have kids, and we value being both fit and real people at the same time. The F4X Training System was our personal breakthrough to achieving our ideal bodies, staying in tip-top shape with minimal time, and having a life outside a gym.

GOOD SLEEP AND OUR BRAINS!

Every single day of our lives,no matter our age,we can change our brains for the better by getting enough sleep!
  Foods that help you sleep;milk,almonds,banana!
Foods that disturb your sleep especially at night;caffeine(chocolate),spicy or greasy food, sugar heavy treats.

DRINK A LOT OF WATER AND SPARKLE YOUR WAY TO THE TOP!

At the airport gate, on my way back to the U.S. (from Africa), the second security check confiscated the 3 liters of water I had just purchased in the main terminal. I cried. Literally, I cried. Clearly, the security agent didn’t understand exactly how much water I consume on a 17 hour flight (about 6 liters actually!). Water has always been my drink of choice. It just makes me feel good. I tell my clients to drink water if they have a craving, a headache, are constipated, hungry, etc. Water is so beneficial, so easy, so free yet so easily overlooked.  It’s really a no brainer (actually your brain is 90% water!!!). Your body is about 70% water, the majority of your blood and every cell in your body is composed of water. Therefore, you need water to function properly.

I don’t get headaches and don’t own Tylenol, Advil, etc. I believe it’s because I drink enough water. I’ve often been complimented on my clear, youthful skin. Again, I thank my water intake!

As with most things, the amount of water for each person is very individual, but if your pee isn’t mostly clear or you have any of the symptoms I mentioned above, you most likely aren’t getting enough H2O. Some suggest 8 (8 oz) glasses a day while others suggest take your body weight (in pounds), divide it in half and drink that many ounces. Listen to what your body needs.

If you don’t care much for the taste of... nothing, then you can add a squirt of lemon, a squeeze of lime, a few sprigs of fresh mint or a cucumber or orange slice. You can even be so bold as to add a few berries or watermelon. What ever gets you to drink it up. Cheers to your good health!

Top 10 Benefits of Drinking Water: Don't Medicate, Hydrate!

1. Increases Energy & Relieves Fatigue – Since your brain is mostly water, drinking it helps you think, focus and concentrate better and be more alert. As an added bonus, your energy levels are also boosted!

2. Promotes Weight Loss – Removes by-products of fat, reduces eating intake (by filling up your tummy if consumed prior to meals), reduces hunger (hello natural appetite suppressant!), raises your metabolism and has zero calories!

3. Flushes Out Toxins – Gets rid of waste through sweat and urination which reduces the risk of kidney stones and UTI’s (urinary tract infections).

4. Improves Skin Complexion – Moisturizes your skin, keeps it fresh, soft, glowing and smooth. Gets rid of wrinkles. It’s the best anti-aging treatment around!

5. Maintains Regularity – Aids in digestion as water is essential to digest your food and prevents constipation.

6. Boosts Immune System – A water guzzler is less likely to get sick. And who wouldn’t rather feel healthy the majority of the time? Drinking plenty of water helps fight against flu, cancer and other ailments like heart attacks.

7. Natural Headache Remedy – Helps relieve and prevent headaches (migraines & back pains too!) which are commonly caused by dehydration.

8. Prevents Cramps & Sprains - Proper hydration helps keep joints lubricated and muscles more elastic so joint pain is less likely.

9. Puts You in a Good Mood – When the body is functioning at its best, you will feel great and be happy!

10. Save Money! - Water is FREE! Even if you choose bottled/filtered water, it’s STILL cheaper than that high sugar and fat-filled latte!

TAKE A PAUSE!

Sometimes we are too busy and caught up in what we are doing, putting so much effort into these things that we do not know which way we are going. We need to pause for a second or two, look up to the blue sky, decide if where we are headed is the right or wrong way.
Most of us get ourselves beaten or gravely disappointed when we realize all the effort we put into something proved abortive. The reason is we were moving on a roller-coaster,putting so much efforts but going about everything  the wrong way and yet we did not even notice that.

TAKE THEM BY SURPRISE!

Listening to others should only make you more determined to accomplish something in your life.
Nevertheless, there are still people around you whom their jobs are to criticize, make mockery of your struggles, scorn your efforts and try the outsmarting games on you.
They paint a picture of what they are saying that it seems so real up till the point of even discouraging you from realizing your dreams!Whatever the case maybe, listen and realize how insidious their words sound but do not pay attention to them, lest you get discouraged.
Do not spell out everything concerning your plans to dream boosters, keep the juicy part to yourself and most importantly, take them by surprise with your success.
       Love,Rhoda!

LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD!

What makes the stories we tell unique and different  from other"s ,is when they are stories about us!We should not let our voices be drowned in the noise of other people's opinions. We should know what we want and go get it,whilst listening attentively to others yet standing our grounds.
We were created by a supernatural being not by a man.We should not let anyone detect to us,but we should learn to take their pieces of advise and corrections when need be.Let us learn how to deal with difficult people without diminishing ourselves!Let our decisions on how we walk out of situations be ours to make.
Let our voices be heard, for we do not know when some other person"s life can be affected by the impact of our voices!

DON"T GIVE THEM THAT PLEASURE OF YOU FAILING!

Annabel grew up in a family of ten. There was no room for her to even have a decent education. She was a star but each time she tried to shine, her constantly drunk father who dealt mercilessly with her mother for not giving him a male offspring, will dim her lights shrinking her to the last bits.
She lived the life of misery for as long as sixteen years,no education,no trade learning. All she did was join her mother in the farm after hawking some oranges in the morning. In the evenings, she sat outside their hut and counted the stars up in the sky.She would playfully include herself as one of the stars and somehow that usually gave her peace within and conviction that she was made for greatness and one day her statement would change. She never stopped dreaming and hoping.
One day,as she was hawking some oranges with her usual bustle of joy,a car halted and beckoned on her.She rushed to the car as she suspected it was a prospective buyer of her oranges.
"Good afternoon ma'm",she greeted and continued,"how many oranges do you want to buy, hmm, they are sweet and succulent,i can sell everything at a discount for you, just you ma'm!"she said and flashed her perfect white set of teeth as she beamed with smile! That stunned the woman.A village girl with a perfect dentition. She became intrigued and assessed her even more!Behind the unkempt village girl, laid a potential model, for Annabel possessed the main qualities aside for stride, charisma and a good command of English, which of course can be treated and corrected within six months of non-stop tutoring. She had the face, body and height to go places!Above all,the smile that can melt the world! The woman asked a few more questions about herself, leaving with her,a card with her phone number to call!
When she went home to share the news, her father as usual scorned her and her mother said nothing. She was confused and nearly gave up the idea of ever becoming a model. As she was deliberating on calling the woman whom she met two days back,a voice within reminded her strongly on how bad she wanted her life"s statement to change. She became more determined and made the call. That call changed her life for good.It was not easy, for she could not walk, pose, nor communicate fluently. Her colleagues made mockery of her and some would even tell her she was not meant to be anything good in her life, but she never gave up!She worked even more harder and with time, she was unbeatable! She is now a successful and international model!
Now your story might be similar to the first two paragraphs of this write-up or might be different when it comes to your own life setting but still has something to do with people saying you are not good enough or people being jealous of you because of the potentials in you!Do not let people detect what you will become nor shrink you.It will not be easy.it is not even easy for me either!Let us not allow what happens around us affect how we shine. For when we shine so bright, others would struggle to do same!

CURBED THIS FROM LIVEBOLDANDBLOOM.COM...............36 WAYS OF BEING IRRESISTIBLY ATTRACTIVE!

Here are 36 actions you can take to make yourself irresistibly attractive:

1.  Develop your own personal operating system. Carve out and define your own reality, philosophy, values, and interests rather than automatically  accepting those of your family, peers, religion, or culture.
2.  Begin to let go of the need for validation. Don’t be motivated by the opinions or others or the desire for recognition. Be driven by what is important to you and what you value.
3.  Trust your instincts and allow for experimentation. Get to know yourself and discover what you enjoy and find exciting, even if you have to fail a few times.
4.  Accept others as they are. Begin letting go of judgments and criticism of others. Focus on people’s strengths rather than their faults. Learn to deal with difficult people without diminishing yourself.
5.  Really hear people. Go beyond just listening and understanding. Let people know that you really get them.
6.  Take care of unresolved matters in your life. Restore your integrity. Forgive and ask for forgiveness where necessary. Reclaim the energy you have given to these matters.
7.  Embrace a healthy lifestyle. Get some form of exercise daily. Eat healthy foods that support your body, not your emotions. Do this because you respect yourself, not to impress others.
8.  Cause things to happen. Don’t wait for them. Be a creator, an instigator, a collaborator. Share your enthusiasm.
9.  Show people you care. Don’t just talk about it. Show them in ways that are meaningful to them, not you.
10. Require the best of people. See them not only for who they are, but who they can be. Lovingly reflect that vision to them.
11. Ensure your own needs are met. Discern your primary needs, and communicate fully what is important and valuable to you  in your relationships. Don’t compromise these to keep peace or hang on.
12. Speak constructively. Use your words to uplift, inspire, motivate, and encourage. Don’t offer “constructive criticism” or subtle digs.
13. Laugh easily. Have a lightness about you. Take life less seriously and choose to find and create fun and joy.
14. Cease gossip. Choose not to talk about others in ways that are openly or subtlety critical. Don’t share information for the feeling of power or intrigue.
15. Make requests, not complaints. If you need something from someone, ask for it directly. Don’t whine or complain to them or others.
16. Handle situations fully. Kindly but clearly deal with negative issues as soon as possible. Don’t tolerate anything  if it causes resentments.
17. Be done with arguments. Smile and walk away until healthy communication is possible.
18. Offer help only when asked. Don’t assume that others want you to fix them or that you know best for them. Be available and give help only when asked.
19. Care deeply, but remain detached. Let others know you care deeply about them when they have problems, but don’t get caught up in their problems.
20. See with your heart, not your eyes. Look beyond superficiality when seeing someone. Financial status, appearance, notoriety, all mean nothing. Look for the authentic person inside.
21.  Don’t say yes when you mean no. If you mean no, your yes will be harnessed with resentment. Say yes only when your yes is given freely.
22. Let others know you are grateful. Tell them and show them that you feel blessed to have them in your life.
23. Never play the guilt card. Don’t try to manipulate or hurt someone by trying to make them feel bad about their choices, decisions, or actions.
24. Give more than is expected. Don’t over-commit, but freely give more than you promise.
25. Be inter-developmental in your relationships. Don’t be controlling, dependent or co-dependent. Create relationships that are mutually uplifting, reward, and satisfying.
26. Be a big person. Don’t try to take credit, diminish others, or hold back on praise. Offer acknowledgment and power when it is needed and deserved.
27. Be confident enough to be humble. Be able to laugh at yourself, acknowledge your flaws and failures, and accept that they don’t define you.
28. Be open to learning. Don’t flaunt your intelligence or superior knowledge. Recognize that there is always something to learn, even from those who appear “less than.”
29. Be more engaged than engaging. Show your sincere interest in others. Use the word “you” more than “I.” Listen intently and reflect back to others who they are.
30. Give gifts that others want. Not just gifts to impress or that are important to you.
31. Challenge yourself constantly. Don’t settle for mediocre. Don’t languish in past accomplishments. Keep moving forward and exude enthusiasm about possibilities and the actions to make them happen.
32. Detach from adrenaline. Simplify your life enough so you are not rushed, stressed, cluttered, or distracted. Allow yourself time and room to focus.
33. Embrace the incredible power of now. Nothing is more valuable than this moment. Make it the best moment you possibly can right now.
34. Don’t fight the flow. Don’t struggle against people or situations you can’t control. Move effortlessly in a different direction.
35. Keep evolving. Stay on a path of personal development and stay alert for opportunities for shifts and growth.
36. Accept that you won’t be attractive to everyone. As you evolve and become more attractive, fewer people will be attracted to you — but what an incredible group they are!
